Shall I link my names on my credit file??

Several times I have told the bank etc that I had a previous surname (changed by deed pol) and last year I changed my name from miss ************* to mrs ************ as I got married.
My credit file with both experience and noddle has none of the details of accounts in my previous surname nor my married name and is showing only the accounts that I had in my name post deed pol but pre marriage.
All my addresses are up to date on both and I my creditors/ accounts are all aware of my different name. I don't understand why the credit reports are failing to show them.
I worry however that as I got into debt badly some time ago and due to whatever reason left some debts,There may be some lurking that are almost statute barred, do I risk linking the name and having defaults added now and screwing my file up even more.
I've have contacted as many as I can remember and paid them off so they should be due to drop off soon.
Ahhhh what shall I do?

Anybody know what I can do about this?.

Normally when you apply for a credit report your are asked to list any other names by which you have been known.

Any reason why this is on the IVA/DRO board?

I'm trying to find out my correct total debt so I can see my options, I don't want to go for a DRO and discover there is something in my old name that I forgot!

If you're going for a DRO then you must make sure your Experian report is up to date and complete with all names you have used to obtain credit. If you don't do this, your intermediary will. You need not worry about 'screwing your file' as your DRO will do that.

I'm now a bit concerned about 'I've have contacted as many as I can remember and paid them off'. If you have done this within the past two years you must declare this as a preference on your application and there is a risk the application will not succeed.
