When browsing on the internet - often on MSE - the PC suddenly attempts to switch to a website and I get the message:
'Sorry, the page you were looking for cannot be found.'
The address displayed is below:
http://web.demo.barefruit.co.uk/main?InterceptSource=0&ClientLocation=uk&ParticipantID=mg76cjr54t8kx45jjw4j4k9j5hsr5m26&FailureMode=0&SearchQuery=&FailedURI=http://www.aciindustries.com/vfd.htm&AddInType=1&Version=1.0.0.33&Referer=http://www.aciindustries.com/burner.htm&Implementation=0&PlatformInfo=bttb&StatusCode=404
The PC is running Win 7, IE10 and I have the full McAfee package which does regular virus scans.
Any idea what it is please? and how do I get rid if it?
Don't know if it is connected but IE keeps crashing.

who is your isp, do they use barefruit?
scan with malwarebytes and adwcleaner, fix anything found, install and run ccleaner slim, disable all IE addons, consider a better AV scanner - avast is free and light!!

I have found this:

BT is my ISP - seems that any wrongly typed address defaults to the address I posted earlier for adverts. However it sometimes just jumps to that address.
