Euronics and Blomberg customer service

Options
Has anybody managed to get any customer service response from the above organisations? Emails are apparently just ignored.

I bought a Blomberg fridge/freezer 3 weeks ago and it is driving me mad. When running it makes a noise like a strangled cat. The dealer says it is just the gas, but is this right? Has anyone else experienced similar noise?

Did you plug the fridge/freezer in straight away or allow a good few hours after delivery before plugging it in?
If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button! ;)
  • the dealers delivery people positioned it and switched it on ...
  • They did reply to my email but refused to do anything about our local Euronics shop ripping off my Aunt because "as a buying group all our members are independentelectrical retailers in their own right and as such we have no influence overtheir selling policies. I have on this occasion looked into this but unfortunatelyEuronics are unable to intervene as the contract is with the shop directly."
  • Euronics did not come out well in the recent Which complaints service survey 2/12 but better than John Lewis.

I bought a Blomberg fridge freezer and washing machine from Euronics nearly 18 months ago and have found them ok so far. I did have to get a replacement salad tray a short while ago as a part snapped off mine. They foolishly posted a replacement without enough packaging and it broke in the post but they replaced it. I also had a problem with the fridge bulb but someone came out and sorted it. I found the staff in the Euronics shop pretty helpful.

I wouldn't recommend John Lewis to anyone after my recent episode with an order I placed with them - utterly useless and unprofessional service !
