Advice re disciplinary and pay increase
Comments

Its a pay rise, or at least thats how its worded. The employees were actually told about this several months ago, but there have been delays in actually implementing it. This happened last year too, resulting in employees being backdated the increase for the best part of half a year.0

CPI inflation is around 3% anything above this would technically be a pay rise, anything around or below is a cost of living increase, mind you they are so rare that you could sell them as a rise.
Just be careful, a lot on here, are very Anti-worker.Be happy...;)0 -
If the pay increase goes back to before the disciplinary then i'd say it'd be unfair, but if it's after the event and it's a performance related pay increase... it's completely fair.0

Thats what it rests on, is it a performance related pay increase or a across the board cost of living increase.
One thing is for certain, they know where they stand with the company, I would cream like an old goat.Be happy...;)0 -
Its not a performance related pay increase; all staff members are to get it. Something like 2%. But anyhoo, as I say, thanks for all your help.0

Then it is a less than cost of living pay correction, so in real terms everyone is getting less this year than last year. extremely unfair to single one out as an example and certainly victimisation .
To be really honest, look for a better company to work for, they sound like a really bad employer.Be happy...;)0 -

How is it victimisation, referring to the relevant legislation? Have you given up on the constructive dismissal suggestion?

Agreed Spacey, absolutley terrible company. Its not me who works for them btw, but someone very close to me. I just thought I would see if there was anything I could do to help him, any advice or legislation I could show him etc.0

Yes what a terrible company. I mean spreading the pay increase budget across staff who haven't been getting into disciplinary proceedings?
Despicable.0 -
They are a terrible company in general Proc, whether or not this particular situation is taken into account.0
