Hi everyone,
Looking some techie advice. I have a MacBook Pro, an iPad Mini and an iPhone. I signed up to BT Broadband earlier in the year and have a wireless modem. For some reason my iPad Mini and iPhone lock onto the wireless network instantly, whereas on my MacBook I constantly have to connect manually. On occasions I also have to re-enter the key code.
The default wireless network on Airport is BT WiFi which is available in the area in which I live. My personal wifi network is further down the list and I have to click on it to manually connect. Occasionally, as I say, I will click on the network and it either doesn't connect, or I will have to re-enter the wireless key. Sometimes when I re-enter the key, it struggles to connect to wireless and throws up a 'connection timed out' message.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Many thanks.

Open Network preferences, select WiFi on the left hand side then click on the advanced button on the bottom right.
This will give you a list of networks. Find yours and drag it to the top of the list. This will then become your preferred network.
Make sure that Remember networks this computer has joined is ticked.
