Sooo my wage is gonna be £428 for 2 months then halved
is this right it feels awful and scary 8 years working for them

I wonder if they were referring to the 'qualifying' period for calculating your maternity leave. Payroll will normally look at how much you've earnt in a specific month and use that as your 'normal pay' for the purpose of calculating your entitlement.
It sounds as if they've looked at your pay in May and June, possibly divided by two to get your normal monthly salary. Not sure why they would be dividing it between 52 weeks tho.
Do you have a maternity policy? It should say something like * weeks at full pay, then * weeks at half pay + SMP, then * weeks at SMP, then nil pay for the remainder (if it's anything like mine - I was with an NHS employer until recently).Mortgage when started: £330,995

8 weeks at full pay then 18 weeks at half pay... my wages weren't bad for those 2 months 1330 and 1461 it feels like a bad jokeww: -2.5, -4.5 lb0

That's very similar to mine.
I think they're taking the average of May and June and using that to calculate your weekly pay (hence dividing by 52). They've probably done:
May + June divided by 2 (to get a monthly pay)
x 12 (to get your annual pay)
/52 (to get your weekly pay)
Should be about £322 per week. You'd get 8 weeks at £322, then 18 weeks at £161 etc.
Not sure where they got £107 from. Have they sent you a letter, or did you speak to them on the phone?Mortgage when started: £330,995

May and June are your qualifying months. They use them to work out your average weekly wage, which I make £322 per week.
You used to be paid SMP on top of half pay to a maximum of your full pay.
Why is that a bad joke?0 -
No you will get equivalent of SMP or half your wages, whichever is higher
I can't remember off the top of my head how much SMP is again around £130 a week? So Youl more than likely be better off. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

...are you sure they didn't mean it would be £428 per week for two months, and then halved?
