Parking Charge Notice (GPB, Solicitors, Roxburghe

I recieved a parking ticket, pretty unfair if you ask me, but taking the advice of those who had recieved tickets in the same area I ignored all correspondence to date.

I have now recieved a letter from gpb solicitors on behalf of Roxburghe (UK) Limited requesting settlement - they want me to call them to confirm my proposals.

It references costs of a claim at £207.25 (allthough this is very vague - these figures are for illustrative purposes only and would apply in the event of a judgement being granted and enforced....)

I'm loathe to give out too many details about this in public as I do not want the parties involved to be able to single out this issue.

However, I can't imagine I'm the only person who's in this position.

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Can I ask the exact date of this letter because GPB has been closed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, so they cannot pursue you in this matter
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Okay so ignore them because at present this company does not exist. Roxburghe may come back to you, or another solicitor in their stead.

Understand something though, they are not the alleged people owed money, so they cannot initiate claims, only the parking company themselves can.

Roxburghe are really skating on thin ice here, the oft is minded to strike them off due to the many complaints and breaches, we shall see if this happens

ttam2, Stroma is absolutely correct - I would also contact the OFT and state that you are being chased for a debt that you deny and will defend and that you are receiving letters from GPB Solicitors which have now been subject to an intervention order from SRA.
(The more complaints the OFT receive - the more chance their licence will be revoked)

(I'm sure that Scouse- Magic will be along soon and start posting about his victory in court! please do not start insulting again S -M)

In the meantime - try and get this scam invoice revoked by complaining directly to the landowner/reatiler who used this PPC - Complain in strong terms about the harassment and intimidation and that you will consider a counter claim for compensation against the landowner and PPC shoult they not intervene and get this charge rescinded.

I assume the letters said something like "We will pass this matter on to our solicitors"

Why not respond to Mr Dargonne stating "What Solicitors ? and Why would they be acting on behalf of Roxburghe"
