I live in Scotland and just about to move into a two bed flat i will be living alone.
Previously, I was with EDF i found them quite reasonable compared to eon. The flat is currently with Scottish Power, i dont know much about their prices. I work all day so no heating will be on, my oven is all electric i have one of those boilers that boil as you use so no tank and have central heating. I dont have a TV yet and use a laptop.
I am looking at paying weekly on normal billing to just get me started but then will turn over to direct debit.
Can anyone advise, i'm not usually any good with all this comparison whatnot?
Thanks

You'll have to use one of those comparison whatnot's as any supplier could be the cheapest. It all depends on your own usage and region. There is no one cheapest supplier. Some suppliers might favour very low users paying by cash such as Ebico and some give cheaper bills to dual fuel users who pay by direct debit and manage bills online.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.0 -

Good but you really need to be a very low user using less than half the national average. The comparison site will tell you if they are the cheapest. I'm with them for Gas over summer to avoid standing charges and the bill is under £10 for 6 months. I don't use much gas in summer. My hot water is heated by electricity. So it's just gas for cooking whenever I cook with it.
Which probably explains why they have had to increase their prices more than those of their wholesale partners, SSE. To be fair, if everyone did this Ebico would almost certainly die a death. Seriously, if I was Ebico I wouldn't allow you to be a customer on such a basis.0 -
i looked on their website it said £977 for the cheapest rate at edf i paid £22 (based on my old eon tarrif) but i was paying too much, should have beeen closer to £15 per week, so i got some money back when i closed the account. so seems this company may not be as cheap? My Signature is MY OWN!!0
