Do you have that in writing ! Is there a clear document trail of refund to account ?
If so a properly presented appeal would have a good chance.

Lenders hate overturning decision, but with compelling information like this I would expect a better result..I am a Mortgage Broker

Its no worries, but would have given you less stress too as this is a reasonable situation outside of your control.
I would expect even Natwest to reverse this decision, although as stated ensure you present them with audit proof evidence.I am a Mortgage Broker
