Would You Pay £2000/£3000 for UNLIMITED Gas and Electric Use?

I think most people would calculate their annual usage and then add 10% to get unlimited or something.
Our old house cost around £1200 per year to heat, so £1300 is not a problem.
Our new house costs over £2000 per year to heat, so of course, I'd be prepared to pay a little over that to get unlimited.
But as far as I can tell, this poll is largely pointless.0 -
The amount would always be over and above what the user normally uses (otherwise they would not be able to participate in any such deal) and as such - is going to cost more than they already pay.
And as most are struggling to meet high energy bills then this would only work for the rich - who don't give a monkeys about the cost anyway as they can afford to pay it.
Stupid poll

I'm with the majority - it's a daft idea. Use less pay less, use more pay more, simples, just make the unit pricing fair & resonableNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

What nonsense. Let's go back to flat water rates while we're at it, where people were literally throwing it down the drain!0

Actually, what we really need is non-exploitative off-peak tariffs.
There is no reason why peak rate should be different from normal, it's just an excuse to claw back some money.
I want a tariff and meter that gives me "Unlimited" off-peak electricity. For example, I pay £200 a year, and I can use as much off-peak electricity as I want, up to say 30,000kWh. Will I bend over backwards to use it up? Try to stop me! I can get a plug-in electric car for starters.
This way, you still pay for day time electricity like normal, so you WOULDN'T waste it. In fact, you would try to get as much value as you can from the £200, so you will use less day-time electricity.0 -
I have canvassed 20 occupants in a block of flats and they will all provide their own extension cable to plug into the one supply.
The 30 amp ring main should suffice! Shouldn't it?0 -
They still have that in Scotland - which means, for those in small, insulated flats etc, water bills can often cost more than electricity and gas.Bluebirdman_of_Alcathays wrote: »What nonsense. A cannabis growers dream - makes it almost legal as they won't have to bypass the metersNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Hi
No, as I pay about £500 a year it would not benefit me.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0
