What is the point of expressing to such accuracy a completely fictitious user's increase?
It's as meaningful as expressing the average max temperature for the UK in November as 10.12 Deg.C. Of course it was -1 C in the Cairngorms and 20C in Cornwall, and it wasn't 10.12 C anywhere else, but at least we know the average for the UK. Not very useful as a guide to use to plan your late holiday.
What the release should have said is the price will rise by between, say, 8 and 10% for a standard user.0 -

The full release did say that! It gave the full breakdown of price change, by region, and how they reached that figure.0 -
would be intrested to know those on SSE and are affected by latest rise, what their unit costs have risen by, I have a feeling that the official figure will be a lot higher than 8.2% and more like well into the double figures for some
can you post current unit prices and the new prices when hikes come into force?0 -

sse customer, old unit price elec 12.78 scharge 26.10 gas 4.09 sc 26.1 new price, elec 13.66 sc15.66 gas 4.43 sc 15.66. this includes discount of £40 per fuel . this is a online standard.I was getting a discount off my monthly duel fuel of £106 back as a loyalty per year but thanks to goverment they do not give this now. My sc has gone down but the discount of £80 is included in this so i lose the differance. I am in north east region.NittyGritty wrote: »would be intrested to know those on SSE and are affected by latest rise, what their unit costs have risen by, I have a feeling that the official figure will be a lot higher than 8.2% and more like well into the double figures for some
