Is it worth switching energy suppliers ?

hi members, just a quick query , I have duel fuel with eon on their standard eon energy plan which I find highly costly and even their (few) other plans to switch to aren't amazing !
I know it is likely eon and others are likely to follow SSE's price hikes around November but could I find another supplier that hasn't announced prices hikes yet and switch to them with one of their cheaper fixed tariffs therefore avoiding price increases with that potential new supplier ??
I have done a comparison check and N POWER have come up cheaper bearing in mind I have used my actual usage and units pricings based on eons current energy plan tariff.
I have about £50 debit to eon and no contract ties to them.
thanks for any relevant info/replies.

It's always worth switching from Standard, because it's always the most expensive tariff. Why are you still on it?
Go for the cheapest fix you like.No free lunch, and no free laptop
