You already know the answer to the question....if you try to claim you are commiting fraud plus what you would get for the phone minus the excess would not be worth the increased insurance costs when you have to declare ' any claims or incidents in the last five years '.... write it off to experience
  • i know this company has been done for miss selling insurance any idea how i find out about this ????

You knew you had the insurance though. In what way was it mis-sold?
What proof do you have that it was mis-sold?

If the phone no longer exists then a claim will fail very quickly but get you marked as a fraudster when it comes to other insurance.

A quick check and they can see when the phone was last used.

No they will only check when it was last used when you make a claim.

They dont spy on you 24/7. They dont care what you do until it comes to them paying out.

Then your on trial. And guilty until they have to reluctantly find you innocent
    .
In your case though a quick call to the mobile company will show you have not used the phone for some time.

But I was helping....I informing you that you are just wasting your time !!

If you put as much effort into regularly checking your bank statements this would not have happened !!
