Electric Shower Issue

I am no expert on these things, but I have a Triton Electric Shower installed. Since I moved into my property over three years ago this shower (and this is the second one) takes forever to get warm.
I was under the impression an electric shower warmed up rather quickly. Mine takes that long to warm up usually 2-3 minutes sometimes more that I feel it actually wastes water, not saves it.
The Housing Association I rent from replaced it about 18 months ago now with a new one, but this one does the same thing, so if this is wrong, then the problem must be with the water supply. Am I correct in thinking that.
Any advice on this issue I would be very grateful.

It mean what it says. Your water pressure is inadequate, and the safety device cuts the heater in the shower to avoid scalding you.
Try opening up the stopc**k a bit.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Do have good water pressure ?
If its very good perhaps you need to reduce the amount of water coming through the shower rose, OR fit different shower head. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times:A UK Resident :A0 -
On units fitted with a 'Low Pressure' indicator, check to see if it has been activated. If it has, then it is advisable to check for blockages in the inlet filter and/or have your mains water pressure checked.
I would try to run it with out shower head on.
No one in your house is running water water when your trying to have a shower ? or is the washing/dishwasher on at same time ?0 -
Nothing else runs water when I am taking a shower, I live alone.
I do have low water pressure, I am in a ground floor flat. Takes ages to fill the sink up in the kitchen with hot water.0 -
Are you in a particularly hard water area? Furred up pipes would explain the low water flow, but not why it takes so long to warm up. However if the element was furred up as well, then it wouldn't be able to heat the water properly. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

are you sure it's fed direct from the cold main & not from a tank somewhere ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
