PLMBL you're on. Get ready, Get set, Go >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
SBO damn straight I need to get a move on.
So flights now booked and I even managed to get a 10% discount. So I have a 5 day break for £180. How amazing is that?? So cheap when you don't need to take kids :rotfl:
I booked the flights on my CC and when my friends give me the money then I will pay off my overdraft. It's costing me £1 per day and tbh I am struggling to bring it down. I will then get rid of the cc ASAP. It is so much easier throwing money at a card cos once you transfer it is gone however when it is an overdraft you are bringing down it is almost impossible to leave the money in the account. Well it is for me anywayso that's my plan.
DD wants to go to T in the park. Dunno why as she hated it last time. So she is trying to book it just now and I have said I will pay £100 towards it for her birthday. She has been warned though that there will be very little else in April when it is her birthday. So I had £23 in my gifts envelope and £50 from wages tomorrow. I 'll then use £27 next month and the other £23 to buy her wee bits to open in the morning.
I don't have any March birthdays. I used to have Mothers Day and also my Mum's birthday but sadly no more. I will buy special flowers for her but that's as good as it gets these days.
I do have my friend's mum's 70th in April and I intend getting an afternoon tea voucher for her. That'll be for her,me and my friend. She's the woman who's husband has just died so things will be difficult for her. So we need to make it special.
So payday tomorrow. I need to do my sums. DS's school is very expensive next month as he has no days off  so I need £157.50 just for that. I didn't reach my £350 target this month but I am not going to beat myself up about it. It is what it is and I do not have the means to change it. The debt has reduced and that's the most important thing. So I am away to do my sums xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

RR it's so exciting. I'm still on a high
Bargain of the day I had 2 danone £1 off vouchers if you bought 2 shape products. Asda have 4 shape yogurts on for £1 so I got 16 yogurts for £2 :j. Not quite extreme couponing but I am happy enough with that to start off with.
Spent £2 on a charity day in work. £5 on my work bonus ball and £9 in ASDA on way home. That was for 16 yogurts and 4 steaks as I had forgot to take the dinner out of the freezer. Dinner was lush. Steak, onions and mash yum yum
So I need to work hard this weekend. I have cleaning job tomorrow morning and then will do my shopping in ALDI with my coupons and my £5 off voucher. I should manage to get quite a lot for that.
I used the self serve in ASDA tonight and you just scan your coupons in. So easy. The operator does have to sign them over but still a dawdle. I love this free food lark.
Going to sit on my backside tonight as was in work from 07.30 to 5.45 and I am shattered xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hey, I took my DD to T in the Park last year, it was fab, however I don't think I'll manage 2 years in a row, I did feel the oldest there and was exhausted by the end lol. Luckily she's old enough to go on her own this year, I said I'd buy her a ticket in leui of a holiday.Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

My DD was there 2 years ago and the weather was a nightmare. They were camping in the mud. It was absolutely disgusting but she stuck it out till the end despite me being on standby the whole weekend to go and collect her. I hope weather will be better this year. I would like to go if I could stay in a B&B, am not into slumming it  and I just don't do mud5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Oh dear. I am just rubbish at the frugal challenge. Last month I overspent by just under £300 well this month I have overspent by £379.29. Brilliant !!! It was a shorter month as well. I despair :rotfl:
So my mistakes were again buying lunches and junk food. Hopefully this month it will be better as minimum lunches will be bought as bringing from home and also no junk food. Should have lots of NSD's as well.
Only going to do the envelope for DS's school costs this month as part of the reason I go over is because I switch things when I forget cash. So I will just be as frugal as possible and see how I go. BTW that figure doesn't include my holiday
Is anyone else doing the frugal challenge? If so how are you getting on?5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Afternoon folks. Bit of a bargainous day today
. Went to Aldi and got loads again and saved £6.33 using their vouchers from the newspaper. So £6.33 of free food
.£37.80 spent in all and £6 in iceland. I bought a smoke alarm as mine has finally died and it was £7.50 and a hair dye as I can't bear the amount of grey I have any longer which cost £5.99. I'm happy with that.
So this week with vouchers I have saved £8.33 :j. Delighted !! This is me as a learner as well so I will get much better as time goes on. I love the word FREE it is one of my favourite ever words. I also like reduced but free is still my favourite :rotfl:. I earned £32.50 from cleaning job as well so basically spends were not all that bad.
Poor DD has been up all night practically with a horrible tummy bug. So needless to say, despite her being nearly 20, I have been up as well. I'm shattered now.
I have an assignment to do for university but tbh I just can't be bothered. I know I shouldn't but I think I am going to withdraw. Between being ill and working so hard on moneysaving and also the amount of energy I need to give my job I am stressing out and for what ? I don't need to get a degree. I don't need one. I'll think about it overnight. Maybe I'm just tired.
So a massive portion of spag bol is now cooking in the slow cooker. I am also going to cook a huge stew tomorrow. Spag bol will get at least 3 night's dinners and stew will do 2. So 2 will be used and 3 in freezer.
Hope everyone is nice and chilled. Take care xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
