Wondered if anyone has any advise.
I've been with Santander for 5 years. Never had an overdraft and over the last year things have been a bit tight, therefore bills have still been coming out of my account when not enough funds have been there, meaning I go overdrawn on an account with no overdraft.
I could do with £100 overdraft as a bit of lee-way, but Santander advise I can't have one. I know my credit isn't brilliant but there has to be something as they are applying charges monthly the highest being £80 for going over by £20.what can I do???

Switch banks and see if the new bank will give you an overdraft facility. However, the new bank will credit search you and likely see that you're abusing your existing current account so that may not work.0 -
Thanks for your advise,
Will have a shop around.0
