Yes you are - to the last question

As long as you have not put any new money in the HSBC one this tax year you are free to open another one with Lloyds. Interest received does not count as new money

The rule on ISAs is that you can only pay new money into one ISA each tax year.

So, assuming you haven't paid into HSBC since 6 April 2013, you can open a new ISA at Lloyds (or elsewhere).

You can also transfer your existing HSBC ISA, either to your new ISA at Lloyds, or to any other ISA. As this is a transfer between existing ISAs, it won't count towards your ISA limit for 2013/14.

I don't see any ISAs from Lloyds in the guide, are they offering anything that compares with those? If not, then why open one with them?

Is that the Cash ISA Saver paying 1% on balances above £5,000 and 0.9% on those below?

There is an ISA board on the MSE forum that has a lot of good information, incl a list of best currently available cash ISAs.

You really should review the rate you are getting on the HSBC ISA since if it was several years ago you may not be getting a good rate anymore.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
