Cheap Socket 478 Motherboard?

Hi guys

Looking for a cheap Socket 478 Motherboard as my one has gone up the creak.

I have a Compaq Evo D510 at the moment.

Anyone help me out?

    You have a problem!
The Evo D510 comes in 4 flavours ePC, Ultra-slim Desktop, Small Form Factor and Convertible Minitower only the convertible minitower uses anything like an ATX motherboard and that is a uATX (micro) ATX.

uATX isn't really a problem as long as you have the mini tower version of the Evo d510 but the S478 may be. as a lot of places have stopped selling them and are just running stock down.
Asrock P4I65G and the Asrock P4VM890 are both 478 and uATX and reasonably cheap at about £30. Asrock are a bit hit and miss when it comes to reliability I have replaced about 7 asrock boards in the last 9 months on the same customers site. but hey they are cheap. The capacitors pop.

Luckily for me I have the Convertible Mini Tower.

I've seen some on eBay - MSI 845PE - Any good?

The MSI 845PE as far as I can see is a full size ATX board so won't fit in your case.
But the board was praised on release as pretty good.

How come it won't fit as the Compaq is a large case.

If not what should I be looking for?

    Cheers
