hi all
im wondering what is a good price for a intensive das course. I have phoned about a few places and one wants £900 and another £500, is £900 too much or £500 too low?
I want good quality training but don't want to get ripped off how can I choose a good trainer,
Sadly the centre I done my cbt has closed down
how much did you pay?
for how many days?
how long ago?

Word of mouth ask around, Failing that trial and error.
Can you boot a trial lesson with a couple and choose one?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
As said, ring a couple and get an assessment.
After my CBT the instructor recommended I had lessons instead of the DAS course.
I failed for a foot down on the u turn but passed the second time after having 5 lessons.
A third attempt at test would have been around break even against DAS.0 -
I paid £500, which included all test fees and as many attempts at the test as i needed.
I didn't get a certain amount of lessons, we just went out whenever. The school i went with was my girlfriend's parents' school though, so it was a case of 'we're out on tuesday and saturday this week.' and that was that. I had about 5 lessons, passed MOD1+2 first time.
The price wasn't mates rates either that's what he charged everyone.
As far as i know the test has changed since i did it though so as already said, ask around, get advice, or do 'taster' lessons. If you already drive a car the MOD1 is the only thing that should give you any trouble, the road riding is ridiculously easy.0 -
I did mine about 8 years ago.
If I remember correctly it was £125 to do CBT, then £45 per two-hour session and I think I needed ~ 12, then £45 for bike hire before/to/from the test, so about £850 all in as I failed my first test.0
