This is pic of the back of the TV

This is a pic of my netbook
Sorry to ask again, i am trying to order one, is the one in the above amazon link, suitable for my netbook and tv, it doesn't look right? or maybe it's me, i'm confused, sorry
Thanks0 -
I'd say it was the 1st one (post 7) male to male
don't forget you won't get any sound from that - you also need a 3.5mm audio cable from the headphone socket of your computer to the TV (socket to the left of the VGA socket on your picture)0 -
what's the confusion, you need a standard male to male vga cable, as suggested earlier, plus you'll need something for sound, but don't expect it to look too good. ebay or amazon is going to be far cheaper than high street
the amazon link above is a male to female vga extension lead, which is not what you want.
This might do it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Laptop-Plasma-Jack-Audio-Cable/dp/B003OSZIW0/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1381614940&sr=1-4&keywords=vga+cable, if your audio output is close enough (<40cm) to the vga output, if it's the other side of the laptop or too far away, you may need 2 leads, one for video, one for sound!!

Hi NiftyDigits, no, my ACER is fine, i am asking about the cables for my dads, netbook0

The one to which closed has linked, is a good all in one solution.
One issue may be that you might prefer a longer version if he prefers to have the Netbook further from the TV.
Another, as aforementioned, is if the 3.5mm connection on the TV is more than 40 cm from the VGA connection on the TV, it will be better to get separate leads for sound and video.0 -
Thank you NiftyDigits0

Lol, i hadn't even noticed. Hahahaha
Thanks for telling me :wall:0 -
As for only 14 pins, it is standard these days, pin 9 is hardly ever used any more. So the 14 pin VGA cables work just fineMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0
