None E7 tariff with E7 meter

Hi, as far as i am aware this can be done in some instances, depending on the meter type, age etc.
Depending on the meter your ulitity company could make both rates charge at a normal 24hr rate (so the timeswitch wouldnt matter) or switch off 1 rate (normally the night) and amend the day rate to charge at a 24hr standard rate. Sometimes this can be done over the phone if they are opting for option 1 as its only amending the billing rates.
Sometimes this isnt possible so they can fit a new 1 rate meter. The company i worked for would do this free of charge but this may not be the same across the board.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Your best bet is to use a comparison site with the total of your electric usage to find the cheapest supplier then ask them if they will combine the E7 readings. Some will, some won't, based on my experience of some time back. If cheapest won't then try next cheapest and so on.
But, also work out cheapest supplier based on your E7 usage. There is no point find a supplier who will combine if the total cost is more.
Alternately find a supplier that would change the meter for free (if any still exist). Or pay the cost to have it changed.
But, have you tried putting time clocks on dishwasher, washing machine etc.? It doesn't take much night time usage to break even. Usually hot water, washing machine, etc.. is enough to break even (and I cook all electric).0
