    Ouch!
I wouldn't even know what to suggest really.
I thought they didn't base it on previous claims?

Thanks - ouch yes but insurance stays...no other way...

It is Argos Platinum by the way, started at 27 per month few years back.
They say they do not base t on previous claims but clearly they do - Zara did have a lot of surgery, 14k worth of surgery...

    Thats what I wondered.
I assumed it was her surgery pushing up the price, but I know they do claim not to base it on previous pay-outs.

But then again, if more people are claiming across the board (because they dog is now x years older, because expensive procedures are more easily available, etc.), they can say that overall the chances of people claiming more has risen and therefore the premium is affected.

    Wow...that's pricey.

But what can you do? Just make sure you get your money's worth if Zara is ever off colour.

Thanks - nothing I can do and really as her 2 surgeries were just over 14k, this really is reasonable I feel. Especially considering her right hip still is not right and we will need further investigations.
  • Maisie's is due to arrive any day now ...... will be a big deep breath before opening that one (with Axa and worried they will start to hike the prices to try to get people to leave)

Jack's renewal was £31 a month with M&S...no claims so far and he's 5 years old.

However, my other dog Lucy is nearly 11 and her renewal - also with M&S and also no claims - is £26.

Can't understand why Jack's is more expensive.
