Insuring camera, bike & phone (together?)

I've got 3 items I'd like to insure; camera & bike (both about £600) and a smartphone.

I live in a houseshare, don't think my housemates are interested in getting contents insurance.

Is it best to insure these items together, and if so who with? With price being a big factor... many thanks.

  • You will be lucky to get any insurance in a houseshare unless you have a locked room where you have the only key and the goods will only be covered there.
You need to consult a broker as the price comparison sites won't cater for you.

Damn... I remember going into Natwest about a year ago about the same sort of thing and it was going to cost a fortune.

    You might try

    http://uk.protectyourbubble.com/gadget-insurance/

They seem to do gadget insurance and also bike insurance

I'm not sure how good they are - I've never used them myself and have seen good and bad reports.

If you are considering this type of policy make sure you check any exclusions, conditions and excess fees.
