Idiots guide to blocking spam to outlook express?

Outlook Express defaults to accepting mail to alladdresses@yourdomain.yourisp.co.uk. If you set it to receive mail to yourname@yourdomain.yourisp.co.uk it will filter out 99% of the trash. Also set up an account for member@yourdomain.yourisp.co.uk as many isp's use that to send mail to you. Most of the spam I receive (which gets picked up my my isp's filter first) is addressed to randomname@mydomain.myisp.co.uk. I am now generally receiving a couple of spams a month to outlook express yet my isp webmail account gets about 10-20 a day in the junk folder.0

Yes i guessed it would be my fault but its asking for what pop server i use and i put in exactly the same as it says in Outlook express. If you can tell me what i need to type in there then great, the SMTP works fine!0

Just had a look at my setting,
Account Name = Any old name for the account
Mail Server = pop3 or pop so pop3.freeserve.co.uk
Username = first part of your email address
Password = Obvious
email address = Obvious
___________________________________________
smtp = smtp.freeserver.co.uk
All above are examples0 -

just make sure you hit the big Start button after the setup, or double click the icon near the PCs clock (a green envelope) this will have a ikkle spam Icon when spam arrives, also set Outlook Express to check fot mail about every 15-30mins its set to 30mins by default anyhow, when you see a spam message appear all you have to do is open coffee cup and just click on the message thats in the spam folder and click on accept message or add to blacklist, and dont bother to bounce messages.
Oh yeah you should also import your email addresses, click on setup then import and import the email adresses you would like to be automatically accepted.
Well ust have a play its quite neat.
