Does anyone else feel like life doesn't like them?!

So a few weeks ago things were looking up.....massively. I had been offered a training post to better myself, my oh had bucked his ideas up and sold some stuff to pay for his divorce and my in laws started showing an interest in my ds after a frank conversation with said oh.
Fast forward to now.....yesterday I was told that the funding had been taken away for my training and we had a massive bill for our council tax because it has taken them nearly 4 months to generate a bill for our new house (we had been paying but obviously not as much as we should have been but the council couldn't tell me our normal monthly amount until the bill was generated!).
I honestly feel like I have had enough of all the knock backs I keep getting
my finances are still dire (I have £60 to last 2 weeks until payday), I feel like I have no prospects and I'm destined to live with someone elses husband for the rest of my life!!!
What else can go wrong??

People keep telling me things will get better,
but they've been saying it an awful long time.
One day my ship will come in ............ it's called the Titanic.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I really do believe that there are people on this Earth who are blessed with bad luck on every roll of the dice.
I keep telling myself that things will improve, but do they?
Do they ****:rotfl:0 -
I saw light at the end of the tunnel...
Then realised it was an oncoming train
Seriously, it may feel like major issues, but try to focus on the good. These are quite possibly some of the good times.
I've had the worst couple of years, but gradually things have started to improve. I still moan, I still cry, get fed up, people irritate the hell out of me, my patience is sometimes zero, I get ratty, insecure, blah blah - BUT... I have my lovely mum, my family is all well (lost my dad last year), I have a new cat coming tomorrow (one of mine died this year), my job's bearable...
Sometimes it helps to focus on the positive, not the negative. Especially when they're not major issues (even though they can feel like it) in the scale of things.

Sorry to hear of your troubles OP. Life can seem like one step forward and ten steps back sometimes. I hope that things settle down for you soon and all the current issues get sorted. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

Life isn't a 'thing', it can't like or dislike you. Life is a series of events, some of them fortunate and some unfortunate.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0

Very sorry to hear about the funding withdrawal:mad: That is very disappointing.
The thing is, I think life just is difficult and we just have to keep being creative in finding the best way to deal with and overcome what 'is'.
We never reach that plateaux of 'everything sorted' as there will always be new issues to be dealt with and new challenges to be faced.
There is no master plan with someone else in charge, no karma waiting to hand you your deserved reward. Life is random.
We just need to feel the disappointment and frustrations that life throws at us and keep working to find other creative solutions to the happiness and fulfilment we want. Letting go of the belief that life is supposed to be easy helps.
And there will always be things we do have in life that others look at and think how lucky we are.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
