Changing the Language Setting on a Laptop

I've been given a shiny new laptop by my employer :-) Slight problem is that myself and my employer are located in China! I've set up the laptop so it's connected to my wireless router, and installed my VPN on it. I can get google HK and explorer fine. However, how do I change the settings in word and powerpoint so the language is English, not Chinese. It's Windows 7 and of course everything like file/Options etc is in Chinese so it's not easy to even play around to find out how to do this. Can anyone help - thanks.

  • Having Office 2010 here, all I can suggest is ...

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office\Microsoft Office 2010 Tools

There's various shortcuts in there, including one called

    Microsoft Office 2010 Language Preferences

You need #27, #33a, #12 double portion, and #44. Please specify if you want extra crispy noodles. ;)

Perhaps searching for the characters of the word language then c+ping in to start

Can you not ask someone who can read both English and Mandarin/Cantonese to do this for you?
