Hi there- this is my first post on here and im not 100% sure i have the right place so i apologise in advance.
I sent off my letter for bank charge re-claim on tuesday and come the next day they have left voice mails on my land line requesting i call them back.
Any-body experienced similar and know what they may want to ask/say?
I dont want to get all tied up on the phone so any help would be fab.
I'm dealing with Lloyds and the amount is for £764
Thanks in advance anyone who can help. D x

One assumes that you are making a request under financial hardship. So, the questions are likely to be in relation to what hardship you are suffering.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi, yes you are quite right on that.
I dont want to be grilled over the phone, im quite shocked.
I guess i should answer but im terrible at things like that, hence why I wrote it in a letter. I went into quite some detail about the financial hardship side of things.0 -
They just want to check some details.
You have a choice, don't talk to them and you will probably get nothing.
Just take a deep breath and concentrate on what yu say to them.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Aww no I'm not shocked about the situation just how quick it happened - how-ever its a good thing.
I will talk with them when i get home, I'd rather be in my own environment than at work before talking to them.
I didn't know if it was a common thing to call to say a big fat no, or to go into more detail.
Thanks for reply's all0 -
They wont be scary. Banks get a lot of stick. Some fairly. Some unfairly. You tend to find the customer relations teams dealing with hardship cases are very helpful and friendly with genuine hardship cases.
A rejection would not be given by phone. it would be in writing only. A phone call suggests they are taking it seriously and you may well have scope to get something.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Gutted!! They called back and i answered - she wanted me to go over my points from my email - to which i did as i had it on screen in front of me - she then didnt hesitate to notify me they are not prepared to offer me any refunds on any charges as they once waved one fee back in 2010 for £10! News to me! Still, i held my ground and expressed id done this from advice of debt helpline and that of my brother in law lawyer, she said she would send out their decisions in writing for me to deal with as i wished. Still, erally gutted to be given such disregard over the phone and know i now face a tough battle

Are you currently in financial hardship or just trying to claim back bank charges from the past?
Where did the figure of £764 come from?0
