Someone on reddit thinks the Telegraph comps are rigged.

I'd be surprised if there were any confirmed foul play here. Not many people actually enter competitions.

Hmmm.... This is extremely interesting. But just want to let you all know that last month I won a Phillips Lumea Laser Hair removal system from the Telegraph. And I defo don't work for them or have anything to do with them! I work for the NHS. xxThanks to all of you for posting the competitions! Really appreciate it. :lovethoug0

Yes I think so too.
I don't think I'll bother entering any more Telegraph comps.
I always thought they were a bit of a pain anyway because the entry boxes don't always match up too well if you are entering via RoboForm.
Also, for a while, I used to get pestered by sales calls as a result of entering Telegraph competitions.
I always intended to click 'no contact etc' on my entries but I guess on one occasion I must have slipped up and ticked a wrong box.
That is so easy to do on Telegraph competitions as those 'no contact' boxes are worded in the most deceptive and confusing way!
'Tick this box if you do not want'
then
'Tick this box if you do want' etc etc
They are just a load of tricksters in my opinion!0 -
Lots of businesses rely on you not reading the tick boxes...0

Ha. It's quite amusing how something as innocent as comping is such a dirty business.
It makes you realize how dirty big business must be.0 -
I wonder if it's a case of a friend of someone in the marketing dept . getting a nice little back hander (the prize} for going round the various forums promoting their comps.
look at the number of spammers that pop up on MSE! and then disappear.
