Someone on reddit thinks the Telegraph comps are rigged.

I'm a bit of a lapsed comper, but came across this and thought it might be of interest to this corner.

I'm not sure if there are actual links, or if they're just going by the names. Big paper, more likely to just be a co-incidence. But it does seem a little odd.

Thanks for posting. I wonder if any rival newspapers will investigate this further.

I agree. If they are going to do it, at least be smart about it (and I don't condone it!) but it seems this information was easily obtainable.

    I've been Money Tipped!
That doesn't surprise me to be honest , i'm sure it happens quite regularly with many comps , I remember a while back way before I started comping properly that I saw Wowcher had a competition to win I think £2000 of vouchers on their Facebook page , turned out the winner they announced was their social media editors brother or close relative of some kind, nothing came of it I don't think.

Doesn't surprise me at all ---- I used to work for a newspaper company and many of the prizes were given to the inhouse staff and the competition winner was just a made up name.

But I did get a free day in Edinburgh with train travel included out of it.

Just read through the comments and have to say it's an eye-opener.

Though the last comment was amusing, the person didn't think many people entered competitions...
