I just bought a Tapworks AD11 after a lot of research. There's a mega thread in this forum that's worth a read: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/370187.

It was £438 from Plumb Warehouse (http://www.plumb-warehouse.co.uk/shop/tapworks/tapworks-ad11-easyflow-water-535637.html?gclid=COus1KSu5roCFfHItAodkD4A-w) and included free next day delivery. This seemed to be good value for money compared to the other ones available from Harveys and Kinetico, who appear to give the hard sell and market features that aren't likely to be of much benefit like the dual cylinder.

I'm installing mine in a cupboard next to the sink. The rising main will be teed off with a valve fitted and will feed the water softener, the idea being that you can close the valve and circumvent the water softener if needed. The water softener will then feed everything in the house, as it will be attached to the rising main before anything else.

I'm also having a filter tap fitted to provide drinking water. This will be attached to the rising main before it's diverted to the water softener, so non-softened water will flow through the filter. I bought one of those 3-in-1 taps that provides hot/cold/filtered water. Hot & cold will be softened and filtered will be non-softened.

The Tapworks model has a maximum flow rate (peak) of 53.3 litre/minute, which I think is sufficient for most 4/5 bed households. It also includes a high-flow valve kit for both 22mm & 15mm pipe.

Here's the product page with all the specs: http://www.tapworks.co.uk/water-softener-ad11/

I'm not affiliated with either Plumb Warehouse or Tapworks.
