I have just received DLA form BF57B review of appointee just wondered if it is sent to all parents of disabled children.i have never had anything like this before I alway put my daughters needs first and only spend her money on her.

This was brought in over a year ago and they have been sending the letters out at renewal times. Interesting blog on the letter here

Megan gets her dla until just after her 16 birthday when I phoned them up they didn't know out about me getting a letter from then

I don't think it's well thought of!

That blog is nonsense. The letter is not trying to catch people out nor does it make any assumptions about how the appointee is spending the money, but rather it is a reminder of their responsibilities. The only people that should worry or object to the letter are those that are abusing their role.

If you are interested in the background letter it is written in a style reflective of the nudge theory, which in other areas has been very effective.
