Ebays Policy Violation Button - where's it gone?

In the seller dashboard you could see how well you were doing with Ebays policy's.

Now, we all now that Ebays power mad staff enjoy throwing people off - but did they really remove a button that helpes people make sure they are complying?

I couldn't believe this, so I had a look. Definitely seems like they've got rid of it.

It was defo there not long ago - as i remember seeing the "policy compliance high" and "you are not at risk of action against your account" message recently.

Today, i had my first violation for selling an item i got free (sold it for £1 - just thought someone could use it and i would get a feedback boost). Apparantely you cannot sell free items. So in the bin they go - where that helps who exactly????

Went to see if they had added the violation it to my account - and its gone.

RIP policy compliance button. You'll be missed :(

It went sometime around late August and was noted on eBay boards but must have been missed here. You can (apparently) now ring CS and ask how you are doing but it is not as clear cut as the dash warnings were!

Mine went a while ago probably in line with what theonlywayisup says. I had a policy violation so was surprised to see my dashboard no longer warns me about it....and since I can only have 2 a year for TRS (I think) it feels kinda important that I know if it is still there and for how long.

I did notice something different about my dashboard around August but I couldn't put my finger on what had changed (as it were!) so that must have been it.

Good old eBay, keeping pertinent information well hidden.

I can't see how that benefits anyone to hide that information?

Well, if they decide you breached too many policy they can chuck you off. Before you could at least argue the contrary. Now you can't. :D

Although I assume they still send those patronising little emails explaining that they are pleased you want to use the site but your item has been removed due to xxxx policy.
