Well, if they decide you breached too many policy they can chuck you off. Before you could at least argue the contrary. Now you can't. :D

And then they don't make any more money from you with fees, how does that possibly benefit them?!

They have plenty of big sellers to make their money from without the hassle of small policy beaching sellers.....who probably cost them money with no fault refunds et al. Open your eyes, I can't open them for you :p

Well if they want to become another Amazon (which is a possibility) they are going the right way about it.

Why don't they just put a message on their website front page saying "If you are a private seller, don't bother, as we're actively trying to get rid of you from day one" lol!

I don't know the answer to that one. Perhaps they just like to play their cards close to their chest. If they want you out it is easier than ever now.

Yeah definitely, they do seem to make it almost impossible for small/home sellers to use the site correctly - thus they can then say nope you didn't follow our rules, out you go!

Indeed, but before now you could argue your way out.....but now it's like the old days of waking up to find you've been kicked off with no redress, reason or help. Shocking really.

I've come to the conclusion eBay is a weird company.

I'm not sure weird is a word I would use, but I'm not from the UK! I would say devious, conniving, manipulating and dishonest.....but perhaps not weird!

Ok, weird in the fact that they seem to not want to make more profit. More users=more profit, if managed correctly.

But that is just the point, they get an huge amount of money from advertising. Ever looked at the ads above and below a sellers item, on the flickering sides of listings.....it's more money than fees.
