ok i've to pay to install a new line at each of my previously addresses with bt, and the same applies to my new address, i dont use the line to call out just for family abroad or in uk to call me and for my broadband.

what is the cheapest and i need to determine what kind of speed i can get, WHERE/HOW do i find out where my exchange is ? i tried asking bt but they said they dont know even though they have been able to give me this info, is there a website that will help me locate it and find out what broadband speeds i should get?

SAMKNOWS website for your broadband options.

Whether you make outgoing calls or not the price is the same for most lines.
Paying the whole year upfront is usually cheaper.

So BT cannot locate their own exchanges when you give them an address and postcode? Says it all really...presumably they consult samknows instead?
