how many m3 or kwh between what dates, does £80 include electricity

    no does not include electricity...

    21/06/13 - meter reading 61874

    23/07/13 - meter reading 62064 - 190 units used over 32 days
    calculated as 190 x 1.02264 * 38.9 CV / 3.6
and then x by unit rate which was 4.003 = £84.04

    02/10/13 - meter reading 62427

pretty high, >2000kwh/month in summer without any heating. Time their showers :D.

a 10 minute electrically heated shower uses about 1kwh, around 13p. A gas heated, electrically pumped shower may cost more than this due to the increased flow rate

  • Just to report a little exercise re having water on constant or having on for a short period per day.

Yes it used less gas 4 units as opposed to nearly 6 units - so definitely cheaper

Is that a day? I just had a look at my spreadsheet from the summer when I read my meter weekly and we used up to 4 units a week for just hot water. Unless our units are different?

Sorry just read back and realised your showers are coming off that too. Ours don't.
