I fixed my energy bills as suggested here last year until march 2014 but wondered if anybody has any thoughts if people like me should think about fixing again now before the new increase? It will mean I pay more now for sure but if the prices rocket by march I may save long term? Theres no charge for an early exit so I'm good to go if you good people think its the right thing to do:huh: many thanks

Do some comparisons and see how much more it would cost you. Can't really answer this question without knowing that.0

It all depends what tariff you are presently on. Any price increases will be long before March-there's no point in increasing them in the Spring once the warmer weather comes. No free lunch, and no free laptop

We were on a sept 2014 fix and just found a march 2015 fix for almost the same price and switched again. That means two winters fixed. Just shop around and do your maths. Who are you with?03/26: OD £1200 600 500, CC £3914 3317, family £3100, loan £5618 5306 5036- total: £13832 12323 12003, mortgage £58,243 £57,766 571140

brilliant thanks, was going to do that but its the working out how much extra i'd have to pay until march balanced with how much i might save. also i did think what you said about it only possibly going up for the winter. i'll have a look and may wait it out i think, many thanks. it was a help to know i wasn't automatically missing the boat cheers:rotfl:0

I have just done the same edf feb 2015 unit rates are slightly more than the new march 2015 but will be better as the feb 2015 has a dd discount.
I was told on the phone that it was because of ofgem they are getting rid of the dd discount, only reason i do ddThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
