Best feedback for buyers who pay late?

What feedback would you give buyers who don't pay straight away? I don't chase up on the second day but wait for 4 days. Then I send a polite message. Usually that works and the buyers reply with an apology and give some sort of reason. That is fine. Some don't even give any reason or apology - what sort of feedback would you give them? A diplomatic one stating the facts that payment was late? ... I am not good with words like that - any suggestions? Thanks

I always give my standard 'great buyer your item was posted today'.

All you can do is give them positive feedback that soon drops off the first page, or none at all.
However they can hurt your stars as well as give you a neutral or even a neg!

The best feed back you can give is.....none.
Long gone are the days when you (the seller) can give anything remotely "not positive", if you do then the chances are ebay will remove it and penalise you.
Best thing is not add to the buyers positives, forget them and move on.

I don't send an invoice straight away either, but wait just in case they are wanting to bid on something else I've got listed.

If I've not heard from buyers within 4 days I will send an invoice with a message to say let me know if watching other items. Some reply yes they are, others pay up, either with an apology or none. As long as they have paid me within a week they will get decent feedback.

I don't expect all buyers to have the time to keep checking the internet, as often life & all it can throw at you can get in the way. I no longer work so have all the time in the world really but appreciate that many people have very full & busy lives.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Don't forget that if we sellers send an invoice now and buyer later asks for a combined invoice for a second purchase we may end up paying too much in FVFs as they are calculated on the original invoice.

That does bring me to the next question I have been meaning to clarify. If I sell 2 items to the same buyer (say each is £5 + £2 postage) and the combined postage is still £2, do I pay FVF on £12 (the new invoice) or £14 (the original amounts).

Frankly I get confused by the eBay explanations but as far as I understand you pay on the invoice amount or on the amount that shows if buyer goes through checkout.

So if buyer pays the first thing and only then asks for a combined invoice you pay on the lot, not the reduced amount. Similarly if you send an invoice then your FVfs are paid then even if you later discount the postage.

I can't believe you'd even CONSIDER giving an eBay buyer anything but a glowing feedback - anything else is practically demanding that the seller gives you bad feedback in return...

Late payers get the same feedback as early payers. I have it all set to leave feedback when payment is received. Customers are hard enough to come by these days I'd rather keep them even if they take 4 days to pay. If they let me know before buying I don't even mind waiting a couple of weeks.

Its easy to leave a false pos without crossing the line - and ive done it hundreds of times. Never had any hassle from Ebay.

Eg, "sorry your first item failed to arrive, & the replacement - glad the 3rd one made it".

"Sorry you were unable to pay for 3 weeks - glad you recovered from the herpes"

"Sorry you expected the item next day - auction did say 3 days dispatch"

"sorry you thought £2.49 was too much for tracked postage - ive refunded the 2p"

    Etc etc :D
