Royal Mail Lost My Passport

Passports are coming back very quickly at the moment. I sent mine off two weeks ago RD and it was back within a week. The old passport actually arrived back after the new one!0

Interestingly if you use the Post Office check and send service they only use special delivery:

I paid for that service and the paperwork got to the Passport Office fine. It was returned to me two weeks later for completion of a section that the Post Office should have done for me but didn't!0 -
IPS office confirmed no receipt

I think with special delivery there's no consequential loss unless you pay extra anyhow.0 -
as u didnt regard your passport as a valuable item, neither did royal mail.0

OK. Put the new paperwork in today... recorded post, as there's nothing valuable in there now.0

Maybe I am totally wrong here, but I thought when you sent for a new passport then your old one was no good anyway, so what money have you lost, or could you have lost...;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0
