Contribution JSA and Premiums

Hi everyone
I currently claim DLA (lower rate care) and JSA contribution based. I have been told by Job centre staff that I do not qualify for the Disability premium until my entailment to contribution JSA runs out and I am on income based JSA.
I though that I could qualify for the disability premium with an income based top up to my contribution based JSA?
Thanks for replies in advance.

Assuming it's just you and no other income than that mentioned, you should apply for income based so the premium is included.

If you weren't receiving contribution based JSA would you be entitled to income based JSA? (ie, you have no partner/savings/capital/other income)
If you meet the requirements for income based JSA then I believe that you should be receiving the Disability Premium as an income based top up to your contribution based JSA as you are receiving DLA.0 -
You haven't given enough information for us to tell you whether you would be entitled to Income-Based JSA so I suggest you claim it on a Form JSA3 (ask at the Jobcentre) and they will look at your circumstances and will pay you the top up of Disability Premium if you qualify for JSA(IB).0
