Indeed. So start you own thread and see if anyone wants to assist you in your situation. A search of threads in this forum for Fistral would be an excellent second piece of advice.

Please start a new thread of your own as advice on this one should be related only to the OP 's case. Even though things are similar, different advice may be appropriate and this will lead to confusion between you and the OP (and any other newbie who decides to pitch in with their particular problem).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why are people ignoring fake PCNs when the advice changed to appeal, and then win at POPLA, a long time before May (May was when we already knew Parking Eye were walloping out a shedload of small claims).

I think the OP should kick up a stink about this whole situation with the landowner. If Mum is elderly and disorganised who knows what letters she got? What a shame to ignore a fake PCN that could have been quashed at POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • The bailiffs turned up again today while she was still in her pyjamas, so I've decided to pay the charge to avoid her being harassed any more.

However, I will also contact Nick Briant and let him know of these heavy handed tactics. Although at the end of the day, my mum didn't pay for a ticket to park so I guess this is the hard reality.

Thanks for everyones advice and help.

Great. The hard reality of literal daylight robbery.

And at the end of the day this isn't about not paying for a ticket, it's about why you should not ignore.
