How can I find this type of light bulb?

Hi all,
I have a lamp that has a bulb labelled as:
Wilko 240V 40W G5
However, a search for G5 bulbs brings up those fluorescent tubes or flat LED lights.
I went to Wilkinsons today where this bulb was originally purchased and they had no idea.
I assume the lightbulb is called something different or phased out?
Any ideas?
Thanks.

My guess would be one of these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bayonet-Fitting-Opaque-Finish-Double/dp/B005GDID82/ref=sr_1_2?s=lighting&ie=UTF8&qid=1381422823&sr=1-2&keywords=golf+ball+bayonet - it might be that if you can get to a DIY shed or Wilkinsons you can take the bulb with you and compare it to a "golfball" bayonet bulb and see if it matches. You can then decide if you want a traditional or a energy saving equivalent (be wary if you need it to dim as most energy saving bulbs won't dim)Adventure before Dementia!0

Thanks. Do you know the code for them.
I think it seems that they are G45 B22 (you need the second bit to dictate the base?).
Also, I did have some 60W ones that fitted the same slot, but it was taller and therefore would not fit. Would be nice to know for sure.0 -
Took a gamble on these:

Those are BC (Bayonet Connector) bases also known as B22d ie 22mm diameter. Looking at your picture, with the tape measure, I am fairly sure yours are SBC (Small Bayonet Connector) also known as B15d ie 15mm diameter.Took a gamble on these:

Thanks!
This page http://www.lightbulbs-direct.com/article/fittings-caps-and-bases/ gives an outline of all the common bases. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
You may need a SBC rather than BC fitting difficult to tell from a pic.0
