Scottish Power - impossible to get through
What is it with Scottish Power at the moment - have tried to phone them 5 times over the last few days.
Yesterday, kept on hold for nearly three-quarters of an hour without success, today have been cut off once and then been told to try again later
Their system used to offer to call you back when they were busy, but that seems to have gone - really p*ssed off with them.
Have finally resorted to emailing them, but really need to speak to someone

Hi,
I was stuck on hold to scottish power 2 weeks ago for 40 mins and was annoyed that they offer no free number (npower do - for landline and mobiles) so i emailed the complaints team through the website - they refunded £5 into my account as a gesture of goodwill.
Hope it helps.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hi - I am having exactly the same issue with them and I even tried posting on their facebook page.
I have been with them for a year and used around £1200 and am about £100 in credit but they want to increase my DD to £150 which means they think I'm going to use 50% more energy this winter than I did last winter. There's no way I'm letting them put my DD up to that level but I can't get hold of them to tell them that.
I'm sure if I cancel my DD they'll contact me soon enough, lolDebt Free since Feb 2007 :T0 -
I had this problem a month or so ago - but this is where Twitter is your friend (if you're a member!).
I Tweeted how difficult it was to through to @ScottishPowerUk to all my followers - and get a response back from them offering to call me, less than an hour later.0 -

I have just switched from them surprisingly I have had no contact from them not even"sorry to see you go' letter, I have stopped my dd ,still no response.
I have tried ringing them 2 and on hold for 20 mins each time,I estimate that I am due about £50 refund after settling my final bill(if I ever get one), so i guess i will have to just keep on trying.0 -
I did not see this feedback or would have avoided the switch.

I remember calling them a lot during the summer and they said they were being inundated with calls about rising direct debits - most people had underpaid due to the long winter. The obvious solution to this would be to stop raising people's bloody direct debits by ludicrous amounts just so they can sit on huge piles of their customers' money and earn interest on it, I guess. >_>
Anyway, not sure what the excuse is this time as I haven't had to call them since.0 -
