Best time to book Orlando Flights? tips please :-)

Hi there , i've been invited to a wedding in Orlando in September 2014 and i'm not finding any cheap (ish) flights . I understand that its not going to be cheap for flights (2 adults, 2 kids) but i want to get the best deal i can !
So far i have noticed that there is only a few airlines that have there prices up so far for September 2014 , i reckon by the end of the month they should all be up .
Does it work out cheap going on at midnight the night your flights are released or is this not the case ?
Also , do airlines have January sales ? This may be a stupid question but i though that not many people would be booking flights in January , they might have a sale ??

Virgin and BA always have a sale that starts immediately after Christmas but fares to Florida on direct flights are not cheap. BA are increasing their flights from daily to 10 a week so may have an incentive to reduce fares depending on how sales have been from now to Christmas. It is of course always cheaper to fly indirectly but I wouldn't recommend it with young children who find it hard enough to survive eight to nine hours and dragging them through two airports and onto another flight for another two or three hours is no fun at all

The relevant question is not when to book but at what price. You should be able to get economy flights around the £500 mark on that route.
