By 'merely' cancelling their contract, and causing the line to be recovered IS contrary to their undertaking. The purchase contract stipulates a working line must be in place (mine certainly did) and requires the seller to keep it live to permit the buyer to complete a concurrent transfer.
The sellers were too smart, and need to pay up.0 -
But it would be cancelled when the new owners try to change the contract over to them.
The outcome will be the same regardless of which way you play it.
Or are you suggesting that the name isn't changed and the sellers remain liable AFTER they have moved out? I don't think anybody in their right mind would agree to thatThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Why do you think the line that's been reallocated to someone else should be taken back and given to you? That's pretty selfish, they could well be in the same situation and could have been waiting for months.
Unfortunately, as above, there is no quick fix.0 -

2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
