lost buyer

just had my buyer pull out of house purchase lost £350.00 plus, is there any insurance companies that insure against loses of surveyors fees etc. for the next time if we go for it again

    Losing your buyer shouldn't be a problem, as lots of solicitors work on the basis of no fee unless you exchange contracts and there aren't many other costs as a seller. Losing the property you are buying means that you lose out on survey and search fees. I'm not aware of any insurance for this, but if it was you that pulled out of the transaction (because you couldn't proceed without selling your house) I'd be surprised if you would be able to claim anyway. Can you recoup some of your losses by offering to sell your survey and searches to the next purchaser of the property you wanted, provided one comes along while they are still fairly recent?

    Sorry for your news btw. Our seller pulled out on us at Easter just before exchange of contracts and we lost quite a bit more than you on the deal, plus being gutted by the loss of the house we loved. On the plus side, we have just seen and had offer accepted on a house which is much much nicer than the one we lost, so we are starting to feel a bit better about the whole thing.

    will I receive a copy of survey it was a basic one it was in the mortgage company offer that was lending us the money

    You will get a copy of the survey you paid for, if you still want it. So you will get a copy of the survey on the house you were buying. You aren't entitled to a copy of the survey of the house you were selling, as this was paid for by your purchasers, but they can choose to give or sell it to you, so if you want it, you could ask them for it.
