switch and fix - moving in 6 weeks

I am newly out of my last fixed tariff and have been on a temporary 'clear and simple but costs more tariff' for the past few weeks.

I was holding off switching because we're about to move from the North East to the South Coast.

Obviously concerned about the price rises and missing out on the best deals, I'm wondering am I able to fix now even though we're moving properties?

Yes, a house move voids your contract without penalty, so you can pick any supplier/tariff you wish.
However, since it will take 4-5 weeks to switch, it's hardly worth it.

That's true......once they have registered with the existing supplier at the new house so it would take 5-6 weeks after the move before they would be on their chosen new tariff.

If they already have possession of the new property they could do it now otherwise they will have to wait until after registering with the existing supplier.
