Hi
Have just downloaed itunes from the apple website, my Aol spyware programme has picked up this trojan "Win32.Pcast" avg hasnt found anything, cant seem to find out much about this on the net, one thing on google thought it might be a false positive but would really like to know if anyone knows if this is a real trojan and if so how to get rid of it, if its not real how do I stop the pop up showing this every few minutes.
thanks
Jim

You may not find it practical but if it was me personally I'd get rid of all AOL related software off my pc."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Upload the file onto https://www.virustotal.com and see how many other antivirus products detect it... If many detect it, its most likley malicious... if only 1 or 2 detect it, then e-mail it to newvirus@kaspersky.com and they'll say whether its malicious or not.. usually get back to you in few hours if its malicious... they take longer to reply if its clean though.. but just wait for them to say0

maybe unrelated but do you have the p2p streaming application PCast?? To watch footy and that on ur PC?
itunes is known to conflict with this and the Pcast update file is often wrongly flagged up as a trojan.
uninstall itunes, get an alternative if thats practical for you.
IMO its absolutely imperative that you remove all traces of AOL from your system.0
