York at Halloween

Has anyone been to the York Annual Halloween Parade? Is it worth getting dressed up for?
We are going to be in York for a week and are looking for things to do. We've been before and have done all the usual 'touristy' things and are looking for something new.
Going to do York Chocolate story, Railway Museum (again - love it!), Minster, the Walls, the Brewery and Betty's. Any more suggestions for 2 adults and a 14 year old?
