Is £45 shopping per week too much for 1 person?

I'm going with a yes, because there will be so many of us that can do it cheaper and with more mouths to feed. But how do YOU do it? - Do you buy ready-made meals? - Or do you cook with fresh ingredients? etc. Thanks in advance.

Generally around £10 pw for me, mainly from my fruit and veg stall, but then I don't include my bulk buying (which is sporadic). Over the course of the years I have acquired a store cupboard of every single pulse, grain and spice you can think of. I only buy processed foods as snacks / treats, and stopped eating dinner a few months ago.
