service contract

Thankfully, I have a fixed term contract with E-on for both gas and electricity. I also have a service contract with them for the service of my boiler. I contacted them today as I suddenly realised that it has been some time since it was last serviced. They made an appointment for someone to call this month but when I asked them to check they confirmed that it wasn't serviced at all last year.
When I complained that I had paid but they hadn't carried out their obligation I was told that a note would be made against my account. I insisted that, as I have made a complaint, I expect a response in writing. This was, after consultation with a supervisor, agreed to. Would I be unreasonable to expect my premium for last year to be refunded as they didn't keep to the contract. I would just like to know where I stand as, at the moment, it seems I have paid for something that I did not receive.
Thank you, in advance, for all you valuable help.

But if it was your responsibility to request the service booking, then what have they done wrong? If your premium also covered you for emergency call-outs, then that service was still being made available, if you needed it.
But since you don't appear to need or use the service, cancel it.
Put a sticker on the boiler with the next service date and then you can't forget it, or make a diary note.No free lunch, and no free laptop

was your contract to cover breakdown as well? if so why would the refund the full premium.
I doubt EON give a toss anymore, as the have sold the Home servicing division to a new company, and the EON branding on letters, EON engineers, and vans will soon disappear.Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -
Hi pointy sticks
As ihateyes says, our former central heating business has been taken over by another company. I posted more about this at the following link.

Hope this is of interest.
